Delnor-Wiggins Pass State Recreation Area Beaches one of the most popular beaches and recreation areas in Southwest Florida. Occupying the north end of a barrier island, the pass serves as a natural outlet for the Cocohatchee River. Lush wildlife habitat, featuring sea oats, sea grapes and cabbage palms and a mangrove forest. The leaves of the mangroves provide nutrition for the marine animals and also buffer the mainland against destructive storms.
The park provides a picnic pavilion, tables, grills, bathhouses with changing stalls, observation tower, bicycle racks, outdoor showers, connecting trails, and board walks.
Clam Pass Beach is located near the famous Registry Hotel. Here, you'll find beautiful boardwalks that follow along the beach, over five miles of kayak trails, and acre after acre of mangrove swamps.
Lely Barefoot Beach, at its natural, undeveloped best, Collier County's Barefoot Beach Preserve gets top billing thanks to its pristine tropical hammocks, tidal creeks and mangrove swamps.This 342-acre beach preserve features an unspoiled quality makes it a thriving location for animals like the gopher tortoise and loggerhead sea turtle.
